I just did this in Canada, $80 all in for the arm alone from Ford plus another $35 if you want a new wiper blade as well. When did a dinky little plastic wiper arm assembly become worth $115 to Ford?

In keeping with my "it should only take a few minutes but now were on the 3rd day" routine. Mine broke in the same place of course, over heated and killed the car. Got it home ordered the part from amazon ($24.00), and as someone mentioned it had too small of a tube on the bottom. Went and spent 20.00 more for correct size hose for the tank hose and a reducer to make the two different size hoses fit together but realized there wasn't really enough room under the tank to do this (a pully is not far below and I do not think cutting the hose attached to the engine would have worked well enough with the angle it was bent). Getting fed up and ordered the part from the AutoZone ($72.00) $#@% and got it put on in a few minutes thinking cool I can get back to work etc... Head out his morning and realize the engine light is still on and the a/c isn't coming on. Got the codes read (P00B7 Coolant flow insufficient) and code (P0128 coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature) Also noticed the coolant I added to the res tank never moved after driving a bit. Normally I know you can burp the system by squeezing the radiator hose with the cap off. If that doesn't work Guess will need to drain the system completely and refill and hope everything goes back to normal. To be continued. Why me???

Thanks so much for the video! Can you tell me what grit your sanding block is? And in your opinion would it be easier to just patch holes from small nails than these command strip marks. I’m about to put up some pictures in a rental so don’t want to cause a lot of damage that I will have to fix before moving out.

I am on my 3rd Craftsman weed wacker, this same model, after a few months the auto feed just stops working, Craftsman just keeps sending me new ones. I have never replaced this cap and spring that you are referring to, I think its a flaw with the device itself, not sure. I am about to just junk them all and buy a Stihl

Another thank you. Never thought I'd have a double-gasket problem with something as simple as headlamps. My vehicle had a major electrical overhaul under warranty some years ago. It was almost 2 dozen hours of labor and almost four figures in parts, all covered by warranty. I read the NHTSA reports on Chevy vehicles in this range of model years with electrical problems, and the similarities in failures led me to this hypothesis: Various electrical problems in Chevy cars and small trucks built in the 2010s might have been caused by improper affixment of the grounding lug, leading to overheating in frame-grounded or neutral assemblies. Aside from the overhaul, my particular vehicle has had the keyblades snap off from two key fops, likely due to high current running through the ignition assembly, in addition to the headlamp double-gasket issue. I suspect someone on the assembly line was perfoming inconsistent quality work.

Grateful for the video, but Im still having the issue. Used smaller original again but still wont feed right. May try cutting some of it off to see what happens.

I have the same trimmer, CMCST900, my spool housing (part #10) keeps slipping down. Not all the out, but loose. I can push it back in place, but it won't stay. Any advice on how to fix this? If not, no worries!! Just thought I'd ask :) thanks!!

If you are to keep one, which one? Seems like the slaptop cajon an easier to play since you don't have slouch down to hit the bass? My son plays drums and i just got him a cajon, but he still prefers to play drums instead. Sometimes though he's ask to play in a small environment and an acoustic style so maybe i should get him slaptop cajon because it's looks more comfortable than playing with a regular cajon

I did this but I don’t have the spring part. And the string keeps coming out I can’t even use it cause it just keeps spitting more and more string out. :( what am I doing wrong?

What happens if you already threw out old spring Now what do I do?

You're video was helpful however even after doing all things suggested in it, the string will not feed. It's like the spool itself is not connecting with the cogs to make it turn. The spool doesn't snap in place like it did before. Any suggestions before I throw it out? Thanks for your time.

This is a very helpful video; I've had mine about 3 months, and the cheap cap broke and the spring went flying, and I have struggled with it ever since. Right around 3:33 in video, you were trying to display the size difference between the 2 springs. You fat fingered the new one and it was not visible. Would be helpful to set them down, side by side, for a better view. Thanks for sharing your discovery; perhaps I will try finding a way to bond a thin metal plate to the bottom of the cap, to increase longevity. GO GREEN!
